The only paintings I created in 2012, this is a series of deconstructed graffiti landscapes (10 pieces complete the series) painted and arranged on approximatley 12"x12" wooden crates. The crates, or pallets which they remind me of, were built from weathered fence planks and lath boards from old plaster walls. The images were created with aerosol, latex and acrylic paint, pastel markers, nails, and other found objects. I began painting the pieces as a whole image, in a 5x2 grid, then once I was satisfied with their color saturation I separated them and continued to paint them individually.
